Goals & Philosophy

The Fine Arts Academy is a ministry of Parkview Baptist Church/School, Baton Rouge, LA. It functions under the Worship & Creative Arts Ministry and serves Parkview by:

  •  Providing excellent training in the fine arts.
  • Assisting in meeting student’s spiritual needs.
  • Developing future church music leaders.
  • Acting as an outreach platform for PBC.

 It is our desire to provide the best in fine arts instruction. We are dedicated to creating an atmosphere where students can learn fine arts, grow spiritually, and use their talents to glorify our Creator.

Enrollment and Instruction

Private study is offered in:

  • cello
  • clarinet
  • drums/percussion
  • guitar
  • piano
  • saxophone
  • trumpet
  • viola
  • violin
  • voice

The lessons are offered on a weekly basis. Vocal instruction is offered to students 12 years old through adults. Vocal students younger than 12 may be considered pending an aptitude evaluation.

Lessons are offered during the school day when approved by the classroom teacher and also during after school hours.
